Brian Wolitski is a published wildlife and nature photographer based in Calgary, Alberta. His interest in documenting wildlife and nature began in the small prairie farm he grew up in Saskatchewan, Canada. As young as 4, Brian would pour over photographs in wildlife magazines and books, and even skipped school to scour the woods and prairie fields in search of the many wild species that inhabited his farmland region.

Forty-eight years after buying his first camera in 1974 – a 35mm Praktica LB2 SLR from a Sears Catalog – Brian’s childhood obsession with witnessing wildlife has continued in his lifelong career as a naturalist and photographer.

Brian’s work has appeared in National Wildlife Federation, Canadian Geographic, Nature's Best and other publications. His work has also been published by National Geographic  Society, Parks Canada, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, the Smithsonian Institute of Natural History, and more.
